Komatsu City, Ishikawa Prefecture, facing the Sea of Japan and surrounded by mountains
Komatsu City in Ishikawa Prefecture is a city on a plain rich in nature, sandwiched between Hakusan Mountain, one of Japan's three sacred mountains, and the Sea of Japan.
In the plain, there are many fields and rice and vegetables are grown.
The climate in each of the four seasons also has its own face and changes violently, and the mountainous area offers a rich natural harvest of mountain products.
And the waters on the Sea of Japan side of the island harvest natural fish, crabs, and other seafood in season.
Characteristics of Hokuriku Crabs
Kajisuke's crab dishes can be enjoyed throughout the year.
Crabs are prepared in a fish tank, so you can enjoy fresh crabs.
Hokuriku crabs caught in the Sea of Japan include Kano crab (snow crab) and Kobako crab during the winter fishing season, and rare species of golden crab and local hairy crabs throughout the year.
For those who order crab by the piece, we will provide the cooking method upon request. (Depends on the variety of crab)
