Kajisuke is working toward the goals of the SDGs

The SDGs are 17 sustainable development goals that the people of the world must achieve by 2030, as determined by the United Nations.



Among the goals that have a great impact on us in the food and beverage industry are

12 “Responsibility to Create.



In our country, it is said that 25.31 million tons of food waste, etc. are generated annually.

Of this amount, food that can still be eaten but is discarded, so-called “food loss,” is said to amount to 6 million tons.

Komatsu City in Ishikawa Prefecture, where our Kajisuke store is located, was also selected as an “SDGs Future City” in July 2019 as a model for cities that promote the SDGs.

In order to reduce food loss, Kajisuke is working on a daily basis to adjust our menu to accommodate customer requests, such as offering small portions and avoiding food allergies and food items that customers have difficulty with.
